Michelle having trouble handling the chilliness of the dish
I had 6 hours of tutoring today and my brain is now officially dead I think...The good thing about today was that I ate out with Liza and Michelle due to having the 1 hour break in-between our Chemistry tutoring sessions. We were joined by some friends from tutoring class because there weren't any spare tables available. They kept asking me why I take so many photos. They just don't understand that a girl can never have enough photos of herself with friends and food in a nice restaurant.

We ordered two dishes: Pad Kee Mao and Ox Tongue. I forgot to take a photo of the Ox Tongue dish. :( Pad Kee Mao is my all time favourite dish at Holy Basil because I had chosen it the first time I dined at the restaurant. Michelle was a cutie and couldn't handle the chilliness of the dish.

I've never tried the most extreme level of chilli they provide but I remember this one time, I ordered 'MEDIUM HOT' which comes after the 'MILD' level, and I had to leave half of my dish uneaten because my tongue was about to shrivel up.

Holidays are ending soon and that might mean that this will be my last post until a very long time. So yeah...good bye my lovely readers. :(

Before watching the horror movie
I haven't been to many parties in my life but I can reassure you that this Pokemon party was absolutely fantastic! All the outfits were amazing! We had so much fun playing singstar and Anna Tran's strange games together. Surprisingly, the boys were incredibly good at singstar, namely Alvin Yap.

Anna Tran's first game was called the 'Dare Game' and it is a game that involves a person choosing to take the challenge of throwing a 20c piece into a cup on the other side of the table with their elbow sitting on the table. If they miss, they must drink up a cup of concentrated cordial and if they get it into the cup, they can choose someone else to drink the concentrated cordial. I must recount that Joseph was the only person who could get the 20c into the cup. The moment the coin clanked in the cup, we all roared in amazement.

The second game was called 'Spin the Bottom, Toss the Coin' and it is similar to Truth and Dare. Everyone must sit in a circle before person 1 spins the bottle. The tip of the bottle will eventually stop at another person, say person 2, and then person 1 must toss the coin: heads meaning slap person 2, tails meaning kiss person 2. Person 1 or person 2 can choose to opt out, and will have to receive a punishment instead. The punishment was drinking a cup of soy sauce and more things were added in with the soy sauce as we played. This led to very awkward situations...

We also watched a horror movie called 'Let The Right One In' and it was not one bit scary. We all got bored of it and decided to watch it on 2x. There was an unexpected scene in the movie that really didn't need to be there...yes, a nude scene that scarred all of us.

I had so much fun, thank you birthday girls! Happy 17th Birthday Anh, Anna and Mary!

Costco + Mixed Berries Smoothie Recipe

Wearing: Hollister Jumper, Target black tights, Red Superga 2750 Cotu Classic

Cute cups that Tania spotted
Firstly, I have a sad announcement to make. My parents have cancelled the 'Zen Oasis' outing because none of my aunties and uncles were bothered to go and my parents thought it would be no fun without them. I'm sorry guys, no more pretty pictures to share. :(

A few days ago, my parents took me to Costco for the first time and since my mum had made it sound so much bigger than it realistically is, I guess I wasn't very much surprised about its size. I've recently had a fetish for tights because they are not only comfy but they look good with my new Superga sneakers, so I tend to dress like I do (above) whenever I go to the library, to tutoring and grocery shopping. And that is basically everywhere I go at the moment, ha ha...

My sister and I also had 'diet' plans for the holidays but like always, we never keep to our words and have finished 2 cans of Poppycock popcorn, a box of Cream Puffs and we're a quarter into the hot chocolate tin. I will strongly advise my mum not to visit Costco anytime soon.

However, I would like to share with you our recipe for making a Mixed Berries Smoothie which has a similar taste to the All Berry Bang Lite from Boost. I bought the 'Speedy Berries' at Costco and they will be the only thing I recommend you buy from there if you would like to keep watch of your weight.

How To Make a Mixed Berries Smoothie *Serves 2
Use a clean blender...
2. Pour 400mL of milk into the blender
3. Add frozen mixed berries and two tablespoons of sugar into the blender. I filled the blender with berries to the level of milk I added.
4. Blend till the mixture appears completely homogeneous
5. Serve in two fancy glass cups and enjoy!
I'm loving the hot chocolate!

Shop Till You Drop

Today I went shopping with my family and Auntie Phuong at Birkenhead Point for 9 hours. We deserve the label 'shopaholic', do we not? I saw such pretty houses and many joggers on the tracks lining Iron Cove as we drove to Birkenhead Point. City people have such dreamy, perfect lives. I dream of living in the City one day, but it's probably not going to happen because there is something called STINKING REALITY. I hate reality.

It was not a wise choice to have worn my teal loafers for the first time to shop, because they started biting into the heels of my feet and made me bleed. I knew I should have stuck some band-aids on before going. The sales were great and I think that was why we spent so long bargain hunting. I bought a few things from Forever New which I thought were really cute. I've looked on the Forever New website, and most of the items I bought are on sale there too for anyone who is interested. I also bought some gloves and a neapolitan-icecream coloured scarf but I think I might save them for an outfit post.

Do you like the red Superga shoes? I am loving them so much! I found those at the David Jones Warehouse - one lone pair just sitting on a disordered shelf of women shoes and half-priced too! I think it was destiny that I found those red shoes; they were awaiting their loving owner, hehe. I know I am weird, you do not need to think this, lol. Apparently, they were the fashion  in the 1980s. I was going to save up for a pair of red Vans but after finding these, I don't think I want the Vans anymore.

After the long shopping spree, we dined out at Pho An at Bankstown and I am not bragging, but I think my mum cooks better. If I could invite you all over to prove it, I would.

Dad says I must balance fun and study these holidays so because I've had a day worth of fun, I must delve into the realm of miserable study. Goodbye for now my lovely readers.

Shoe Love, True Love

'Isabelle Brown' black, velvet wedges
'Varsavia' nude wedges
'Urge' teal loafers
'Lipstick' sequin heels
Firstly, Happy Easter Season! All I did was eat chocolate...I hope you spent Easter in a better manner.

After several months of mundane HSC life, I was finally in the presence of shops and indeed, I went berserk. I went to D.F.O at Homebush and whenever I go there, it's all about buying shoes or stocking up on bras and underwear. I was looking for a pair of loafers because a friend of mine (Vanessa Ngo Thanh) recently bought black loafers from Rubi and they look so cute with everything. It was just my luck that I found a perfect pair at 'Wanted Shoes', reduced from $80 to $40, and in my favourite colour! GO ME. Mum thought they looked like granny shoes, but she bought them for me anyway, love you Mumma.

I never wear heeled shoes because for one, I never thought my parents liked me being too dressy and two, I don't go out to nice places that require a dress up very often. My first pair of heeled shoes were my Year 10 Formal shoes, the sequin ones that are absolutely gorgeous. Now that I think about it, they weren't really suited for Formal, but whatever, I've worn them after the Formal to parties because they're extremely versatile.

Anyway, Mum suggested that I buy some heels to wear with dresses, having realised that I'm never in a dress these days. And so I did. For a start, I thought keeping to the basic black and nude was a good choice. I am so in love with the black velvet wedges - A friend of mine has a pair like those too and she loves them and I now understand why.

I can't wait to dress up and go to a nice place with good scenery to take some photos now - that being the road trip which I had mentioned earlier which has been postponed to next week. Apparently, we're going to 'Zen Oasis'. Google it. The scenery is beautiful there. I'm also going Parramatta Westfield on Monday I think, which means more shopping, yay!

The Clean Up

1st wardrobe, bottom hanger

English speech palm cards - Had to remind myself to smile during the speech :')
Snacking on dragon fruit
Hello my dear readers! It has been months since my last blog and I am sorry for that. I have the HSC on my back and whenever I take time out of study for leisure purposes, guilt trips me over. Please don't think I study all the time, because I don't. I'm just an extremely slow worker which means I spend twice as long as other students would to complete homework and notes. Might I add procrastination to the list - Facebook and Youtube wishes me to fail my HSC.

Let me start off by shouting out, "I FEEL SO GOOD NOW THAT EXAMS ARE OVER." I think we all know how torturing exam weeks can be, but to be honest, the last three weeks came and went in a whiff for me. First I had the 'speech' English assessment, then 2U Maths and Agriculture, and the rest of them just ordered themselves one after the other and before I knew it, I was done with half-yearlies, go me!

I will be truthful to myself - I don't think I put in 100% effort. I always promise myself I will, but I never do. "Next exam, I'll try even harder because I didn't do so great this time round." Nah ah, never going to happen, sorry self. But it's okay, because I don't think I felt stressed...I stayed way too calm during those exams, which I guess is a good thing. I can only perform to my ability, not to others', and whatever I get, I get, right?

Anyway, after exams my room was a mess. I don't know how it happened, it just did. I had to sort all the past papers and notes into folders and throw away whatever was scrap. It took three long hours, but my room is now back to its original state. I have OCD and am proud of it. I also had to clean up my wardrobe because it too, was getting rather messy and only after cleaning it up, did I realise how boyish I dress these days. I have 1 skirt. 1 SKIRT. The rest of my bottoms are shorts and jeans. I have T-shirts and polos for tops and too many jackets and hoodies. I think I might need a new wardrobe before University... I really do like fashion, but can't afford it yet. Pretty shoes and fancy handbags will have to wait till I grow up.

My holidays officially commence today so I will blog more during the holidays hopefully. Dad told me my family is going for a road trip on the weekends, so I'm looking forward to that. Till then, bye!
